Terms of Use

Last updated: October 19, 2026. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

The short version. CrowdSense estimates how busy a place will be. Each estimate is built from evidence, but it is still an estimate: a well-informed guess, not a fact, a count or a promise. Places can be busier or quieter than shown, closed, or out of parking. Use CrowdSense to plan, not to decide anything where being wrong could hurt you or cost you, and always follow official announcements. It is free, and it comes with no guarantees.

1. Agreeing to these terms

CrowdSense (crowdsense.net) is operated by Oliver Kuy (the "operator", "we" or "us"). By using CrowdSense you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What CrowdSense is

CrowdSense is a free information service. It shows estimated crowd levels, parking, the best time to go and the reasons behind each estimate for malls, stations, parks, churches, groceries and venues in Metro Manila, for right now or a day and hour you choose.

3. Estimates are based on evidence, not proof

Every estimate is calculated from the best evidence we can gather: foot-traffic forecasts, the calendar (holidays, paydays, school breaks, seasons), researched events, weather, road traffic, published news and reports from people at the place. We explain what goes into our estimates under "About the data".

Even so, an estimate is not the truth about a place. It is not a live count, not a guarantee that a place is open, safe, quiet or has parking, and not verified by the place itself. Sources can be late, incomplete or wrong, and conditions change faster than any estimate. In particular:

4. News alerts and events

Alerts summarize stories published by news outlets, and events come from organizers' and venues' public announcements. Each one links to its source. Our summaries can miss details, arrive late, or apply a story more widely or narrowly than it deserves. They are not official announcements. Read the source and follow the authorities.

5. No affiliation

CrowdSense is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or speaking for any mall, venue, train or bus operator, government agency, news outlet or data provider named on the site. Place names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the places.

6. Your reports

When you send a crowd or parking report, you agree that:

Reports are anonymous. What is kept, and for how long, is explained in the Privacy Notice.

7. Acceptable use

Use CrowdSense for your own, personal planning. Please do not:

We may block access from anyone who breaks these rules.

8. Ownership and credits

CrowdSense™ and the CrowdSense logo are trademarks of the operator (application filed with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines). The CrowdSense name, logo, design, software and estimates belong to the operator. Data and materials from others are used under their licences and credited on the site: weather by Open-Meteo, public holidays by Nager.Date, some place locations and outlines © OpenStreetMap contributors, foot-traffic forecasts, flight schedules and other data from licensed providers (traffic data © TomTom), icons by Lucide, and the Bricolage Grotesque and Figtree fonts (SIL Open Font License).

9. Availability and changes

CrowdSense is provided free and may change, pause or stop at any time, including briefly while it is being updated. We may add, change or remove places, features and sources without notice.

10. No warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, CrowdSense is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, CrowdSense or its estimates, alerts or events, including wasted trips, lost time, missed appointments, parking or transport costs, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.

12. Links to other sites

CrowdSense links to news articles, event pages and other sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

13. Children

CrowdSense is not directed at children. If you are a minor, please ask a parent or guardian before using location features or sending reports.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using CrowdSense after a change means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute will be brought before the proper courts of the Philippines.
